Receptor mediating bronchoconstriction, mucus secretion, and inflammatory cell recruitment in asthma and allergic rhinitis. Antagonism (montelukast — Singulair) is a non-steroidal asthma controller. Black-box neuropsychiatric warning (depression, suicidality) added by FDA in 2020.
