Molecular target
Phosphodiesterase-5
Enzyme that hydrolyzes cGMP, terminating nitric-oxide-mediated vasodilation. PDE5 inhibitors (sildenafil, tadalafil) prolong cGMP signaling — basis for erectile dysfunction therapy and pulmonary arterial hypertension treatment.

Pharmaceutical agents
Drugs that act on Phosphodiesterase-5
These medications have Phosphodiesterase-5 among their molecular targets. Sharing a target is a mechanistic relationship — it does not make any plant below an alternative to, or substitute for, these drugs.
